This original Australian painting was done by Aboriginal artist Tameika (Wassa) Morgan.
Captured in motion, warmly on soft canvas, Tameika has painted a Goanna (large land lizard) on a warm orange/brown desert background, with dot paintings on either side.
The fine cross-hatching and traditional dots make this painting distinctly & proudly Aboriginal.

Australian Aboriginal Artist Tameika (Wassa) Morgan
Tameika is a descendant of the Yorta Yorta & the Umeewarra Tribes of NEW SOUTH WALES & SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
Images featured in her work are from her river country. Her art depicts powerful imprints of her ancestors' Riverland Art.
Tameika enjoys painting contemporary and traditional Aboriginal art.
She's been painting professionally 10 years and as a child drew animals and patterns in charcoal.
